Job Title: HSSU Coordinator

Location: Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital

Type: Permanent, Part-time (30 hours/week)

Salary: £23,887.50 pro rata

Responsibilities

1. Process used surgical instruments for dispatch and receive sterile surgical equipment.
2. Support the theatre team to ensure smooth operations.
3. Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes.
4. Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date.
5. Dispose of contaminated waste following hospital policy.
6. Regularly check equipment for proper functioning and report faults.
7. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
8. Address problems proactively and escalate issues when necessary.

About the Hospital

Brentwood Hospital offers a range of services, including outpatient care, minor procedures, and major surgeries. Facilities include 42 beds, 4 theatres, an Endoscopy Suite, 16 consulting rooms, MRI, CT, general imaging, pathology, physiotherapy, and an onsite pharmacy. We specialize in orthopaedics, general surgery, men’s and women’s health, children’s services, and cosmetic surgery. Recently, we refurbished our Endoscopy Unit to enhance patient care.
