Job Description:

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to join the expanding team of academic staff in the Department of Psychology. You will be a Forensic Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council, capable of teaching practitioner skills for our MSc Forensic Psychology programme accredited by the British Psychological Society.

You will join an ambitious Department of Psychology that has experienced significant growth in staffing, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students, and facilities in recent years. Our research portfolio is expanding with a highly successful Centre for Research into Forensic and Investigative Psychology, alongside the Criminal Justice Research Network and other research groups in Childhood and Youth Psychology, Healthy Lives, Brain and Cognition, and Social and Organisational Psychology.

The Department features a range of specialist laboratories, including observation labs with camera systems and one-way mirrors, EEG and neuro-stimulation facilities, a Virtual Reality lab, and an alcohol research lab, along with standard experimental laboratories for diverse psychological research.

The MSc Forensic Psychology programme is taught on Wednesdays. The successful candidate will be required to be on campus on Wednesdays.
