As HSQE Manager, you will play a key role in implementing, managing, and embedding Ardmore's Health & Safety Standards throughout the project.

The Project:

This is a fantastic £150m, Grade II listed project based in central London, transforming an Edwardian building into a high-end commercial and mixed-use space.

The project is conveniently located within walking distance of Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the project health and safety champion and coordinator, assisting the Project Manager in health and safety duties on site.
  2. Provide practical monitoring, advice, and ensure legal compliance.
  3. Liaise with the senior Health and Safety manager for advice or training organization.
  4. Conduct daily site inductions, review induction forms, and competence cards.
  5. Contribute to the production of method statements and risk assessments, with site managers determining methods and H&S advisors formulating risk assessments.
  6. Organize a project health and safety award scheme and coordinate Site Leadership Meetings.
  7. Produce monthly H&S overview reports, including environmental and sustainability summaries for the client.
  8. Identify opportunities for low carbon construction methods and environmental good practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within the building construction sector.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (advisor level).
  • NVQ Level 5 in H&S or NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (manager level).
  • IOSH graduate membership (for managers).
  • Appointed person A61 Lifting operations (desirable).
  • Temp works coordinator or supervisor (desirable).
