Job summary

Pennine Recruitment is assisting a Glossop-based manufacturer in appointing a HSHEQ manager to lead Health and Safety, quality systems and customer liaison.

This permanent role requires a minimum HNC/HND and BS EN9100 experience, with internal auditing capability, strong communication, and a proactive, detail‑driven approach. Knowledge of NADCAP is advantageous. Travel may be minimal.

Qualifications

• BS EN9100 experience essential.
• NADCAP aerospace experience desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a quality environment and internal auditing is essential.

Job description

We are pleased to be recruiting a HSHEQ manager for our client based in Glossop.

The company is an established and leading manufacturer of specialist Aerospace parts.

This is a Permanent, full time role working Monday to Thursday (9.75 hrs per day, 39hrs per week)

A starting salary of £55,000PA

Responsibilities

• Implementation and Management of Health and Safety
• Maintenance of the Quality Management system
• Customer Liaison on quality matters
• Audit requirements
• Management of the quality team
• Relationships with external bodies

Attributes required

• Good level of education (minimum HNC/HND)
• Metallurgical qualification to HNC/HND or degree standard.
• Experience of working in a Quality Environment and of BS EN9100 essential.
• Experience of primary customer standard such as Airbus, SAE ITC, BAE systems etc., desirable but not essential.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred but not essential but must have other similar manufacturing environment experience.
• NADCAP Aerospace advantage but not essential.
• Membership/qualification from Quality professional bodies.
• Internal auditor experience necessary.
• Ability to maintain and improve the quality management systems.
• Good communicator at all levels.
• Tenacious and thorough with great attention to detail.
• Methodical, proactive, creative, problem solver and a self-starter.
• Strong IT skills.
• Strong customer focus
• Able to work without supervision & meet deadlines.
• Reliable and flexible.
• Diplomatic but firm when dealing with customers, auditors etc.
• Full driving license and passport to travel if required (minimal).
