Job summary

Search² has been exclusively engaged by a well-established chemical manufacturer to recruit an HSEQ Manager for its North East operation in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role covers Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality across the site, with flexibility for an experienced HSEQ Manager or a Health & Safety Advisor ready to step into management.

The candidate should have a strong HSEQ foundation in a high-risk manufacturing setting, with NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive Health & Safety experience in chemical/process manufacturing.
• Knowledge of COSHH, DSEAR, HAZOP, LOPA, MoC and COMAH preferred.
• Ability to develop and lead wide HSEQ initiatives across a site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Health & Safety across the site.
• Support process safety and manage chemical/hazardous risks.
• Maintain and improve Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Manage auditing, compliance, incident investigation and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations to raise standards, engagement and safety culture.
