Job summary

Benjamin Grace Limited has partnered with a respected rail infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced HSEQ Manager. You will lead Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the business, shaping performance and supporting safe delivery of projects across the UK rail network.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will own the HSEQ function, work with operations, clients and regulators, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining integrated management systems and guiding

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Graduate IOSH membership.
• At least three years' HSEQ experience within the UK rail industry.
• Environmental and Quality Management qualifications.
• Internal Auditor qualification covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Excellent knowledge of UK HSEQ legislation and rail industry standards.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience of rail fencing, vegetation management, Personal Track Safety (PTS) and IEMA Environmental qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the HSEQ function across the business, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards and objectives.
• Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations to drive continuous improvement.
• Support tender submissions and development of safe systems of work.
• Oversee training and competence across teams and represent the business with clients, Network Rail and stakeholders.

Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected rail infrastructure contractor for an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality across the business. The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll take ownership of the company's HSEQ function, working closely with operational teams, clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and business objectives. You'll maintain and develop integrated management systems, provide expert guidance across the business and play a key role in driving continuous improvement.

The position offers a broad remit, covering everything from audits, inspections and incident investigations through to supporting tender submissions, developing safe systems of work, overseeing training and competence, and representing the business with clients, Network Rail and industry stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced HSEQ professional with a strong rail background who can build relationships at every level and promote a positive safety culture throughout the business.

Essential requirements include:
