At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will provide full health, safety environmental and quality support for all areas of the business – both operational and support services. You will be prepared to travel to other rail depots throughout the country.
Main Responsibilities:
Must have a good understanding and knowledge of the rail vehicle industry and best practice therein.
5+ years of complex HSEQ experience, process and functional development, ideally gained within a rail environment
Excellent knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and best practice
Managing audits undertaken by internal and external bodies
Experience of formulating, implementing and revising H&S policies and procedures
Experience of RIDDOR reporting
Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Knowledge:
NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
Knowledge and experience of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and EFQM (or equivalent quality standard)
A full and valid driving licence is essential
