Health Safety Environmental and Quality Manager

I am excited to be partnering with Zip Pak, part of the ITW group, a $16bn turnover business operating globally, as they search for a new QHSE Manager to join their site in Whitby. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global company working with well-known brands.

• Minimum of 3 years relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience leading internal and external audits (customer and supplier)
• Success in gaining and maintaining ISO accreditations
• Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems
• Coordinate with Production Manager / Shift Leaders to ensure adherence to Quality and HSE procedures
• Promote safety culture and awareness among teams and individuals
• Manage Near Miss/Safety Catch programmes effectively
• Conduct and update Risk Assessments in collaboration with departmental managers and staff
• Design and deliver H&S training to operators and staff at all levels
• Chair regular Quality and H&S meetings
• Maintain up-to-date Quality procedures
• Support complaint investigations and liaise with the team on customer quality questionnaires
• Create, update, and maintain product specifications following Change Management procedures
• Ensure ISO 9001 and 14001 procedures are current
• Arrange and deliver QHSE training as needed
• Perform internal and supplier audits
• Coordinate with site engineers/production management to keep PPM procedures current
• Liaise with accreditation bodies to maintain certifications
• Review and implement new HS&E and ISO procedures and legislation
• Manage PPE requirements
• Support team management through coaching, mentoring, and proactive communication
• Supervise workload and mentor less experienced team members
