Job description

Description
As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team with responsibility for one of our regional contracts reporting to the Senior HSEQ Advisor.

You will be responsible for promoting compliance throughout the business and for escalating all issues identified. You will also ensure employees are made aware of issues raised and promote document control and system compliance.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:

  • Ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained, and address issues immediately
  • Complete verification inspections and follow up on closure of findings/non-conformances
  • Support accident and incident investigations, promoting good quality reporting and closure
  • Report unsafe acts/conditions and encourage positive intervention
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on achievements and issues
  • Communicate and facilitate the timely closure of corrective actions raised by the Compliance Department and external auditors
  • Compile accident/incident statistics for supported contracts and attend client meetings
  • Collaborate with the operational team to maintain strong relationships and improve processes/systems
  • Promote safe behaviours on-site and in the office
  • Support training and competency requirements to ensure high standards of training compliance
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Lead with accreditations and support standards including ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001, etc.
  • Support the business in achieving contract milestones and strategic plans
  • Be adaptable within the business and eager to learn about our products and services

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We are looking for candidates with:

  • H&S qualification, e.g., NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience in the Utilities or Construction sectors (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving License
