The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. The role involves maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Overview of the Role

• HSEQ Officer
• Holidays: 30 days, with 1 additional day per year of service up to 5 days. Holiday buy-back scheme available for an additional 5 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
• Create, monitor, and maintain procedures within the Quality Management System.
• Coach and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
• Plan and conduct audits, and implement best practices.
• Provide training on HSEQ topics to staff.
• Ensure processes deliver intended outputs and report on performance and improvements.
• Promote customer focus and maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections.
• Develop health and safety strategies and policies.
• Lead training sessions on QHSE topics.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and produce reports.
• Stay updated on legislation and industry developments.
• Manage equipment safety, hazardous substance disposal, and emergency procedures.
• Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational diseases.
• Qualifications: NEBOSH General or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE.
• Auditor training/experience preferred.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
• Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status).
