MK Search is currently working alongside a Turnkey Provider with a strong presence across sectors such as M&E, Fabric, Civil Engineering, Fit out, and upgrade works within the construction industry.

Our client is looking to engage HSQE Advisors from a Civil Engineering background to join the northern division, based at Warrington & Manchester areas.

This is a great opportunity to join an employee-owned company that prioritizes progression, with scope to advance into a Health & Safety Manager role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementing the company’s health and safety policy to prevent injury, ill health, damage, and wastage.
• Understanding statutory requirements affecting the company’s operations.
• Promoting the health and safety policy and ensuring all employees are aware of it.
• Conducting and recording regular safety inspections on all construction sites, providing feedback to project managers, the Group EHS Director, and the Project Director.
• Closing out actions from previous reports within specified timescales.
• Addressing any health and safety non-compliance among staff.
• Supporting project managers with accident investigations and timely report compilation.
• Providing site operatives and subcontractors with suitable inductions.
• Ensuring adequate welfare and site setup facilities are in place.
• Displaying statutory safety notices appropriately.
• Completing permits to work correctly and ensuring they are suitable for the task.
• Storing COSHH items securely to prevent environmental risks.
• Reviewing risk and method statements for suitability.
• Performing any reasonable tasks requested by senior TSL personnel.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience working in a construction environment.
• Relevant EHS vocational qualification.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels.
