Job description

Description
As HSEQ Advisor, you’ll join a respected operationally focused HSEQ team supporting high-risk wastewater projects on a fast-paced and technically demanding contract. You’ll be part of a proactive, hands-on team embedded within operations, supported by a national network of 40+ HSEQ professionals across the Network Plus group. Your daily work will be site-led, directly supporting colleagues involved in deep excavations (typically 4-6m), temporary works, confined space entry, and emergency civil repairs. You’ll coach teams, reinforce safe systems of work, respond rapidly to emerging risks, and help cultivate a culture of safe, right-first-time delivery.
You’ll act as the first point of contact for HSEQ support across the contract, working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, and Operatives. You’ll also be supported by an experienced HSEQ Lead who invests in team development and progression.
If you’re seeking a role where you can make an impact, gain visibility, and grow in a high-risk, fast-moving environment, this role offers an excellent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, including support of CPPs, Permits to Dig, Temporary Works, and internal procedures.
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards, addressing issues immediately.
  • Promote and monitor compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), RAMS, and Toolbox Talks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure robust closure of non-conformances.
  • Support incident reporting and investigation processes.
  • Ensure timely resolution of actions from reviews by internal, external, and client stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the operational team to maintain strong relationships, improve processes, reduce risks, and embed best practices.
  • Compile monthly reports on site safety trends, inspection findings, and proactive interventions.
  • Support the delivery of the HSEQ strategy.
  • Be adaptable and eager to learn more about our products and services.

Desirable
  • Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor (TWC/TWS)
  • Confined Space Entry or Management awareness
  • Experience in utilities, civils, or construction, especially involving deep excavations and temporary works
