Job summary

Technip Energies is seeking an experienced HSE Trainer to join the Net Zero Teesside PCC Project. You will develop and deliver bespoke HSE courses, coordinate training needs, and support the HSE team in fostering a strong safety culture on site and during construction and operation phases.

The role requires extensive face-to-face HSE training experience, IOSH Trainer certification, and a solid CPD record with IOSH, along with a strong understanding of UK CDM 2015 and COMAH 2015 requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in HSE with IOSH-related accreditation.
  • Recognised adult training qualification and IOSH Trainer certification.
  • Extensive face-to-face HSE training experience on site or construction projects.
  • Active CPD profile with IOSH.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015, COMAH 2015, and UK construction regulations.
  • Experience as an HSE Trainer on construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver bespoke HSE training courses for site teams.
  • Coordinate training requirements and maintain a training register.
  • Write monthly HSE training reports and develop training matrices and plans.
  • Deliver IOSH and related HSE courses on-site.
  • Conduct competency assessments and evaluations.
  • Support HSE team with additional activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure HSE compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver tailored HSE training courses for Technip Energies site teams.
  • Coordinate training requirements and maintain a comprehensive training register.
  • Write monthly HSE training reports and generate training matrices and development plans.
  • Deliver IOSH and other HSE courses regularly on-site.
  • Conduct competency assessments and evaluations.
  • Support the HSE team with additional HSE activities as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma in HSE and Tech IOSH certification.
  • Recognised adult training qualification and certification as an IOSH Trainer (including completion of the IOSH Train the Trainer course).
  • Extensive face-to-face HSE training experience.
  • Updated CPD profile with IOSH.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015, COMAH 2015, and UK regulatory requirements for construction projects.
  • Previous experience as an HSE Trainer on construction projects.
Key Relationships
  • Internal: NZT Project Disciplines, NZT Site HSE Manager, Project & Construction Directors.
  • External: COMPANY, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
