Job description

Position: HSE Trainer

Location: Barnsley and nationwide

Salary: £40-44,000 per annum

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Permanent

The Role:

My client is a well-established market leading industrial construction, operations and maintenance sector and is recruiting for a Health & Safety Trainer to join their existing team, reporting into Barnsley head office and covering locations nationwide. As a Health & Safety Trainer, your role will focus on all day-to-day training of all H&S training requirements for all staff, and duties will include:

  • Delivering mandatory H&S training activities including IOSH Managing Safely / Working Safely
  • Identifying any training needs within the H&S arena
  • Maintaining departmental H&S training records, assessment paperwork, and data
  • Providing technical support to all colleagues
  • Working with the Training Team to improve the quality of training and learning delivered by the company
  • Attending meetings as and when required

Training:

  • Minimum of Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET) or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
  • IOSH (Managing Safely / Working Safely)
  • In-depth understanding of H&S legislation
  • Proven experience in training and development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple supervisory staff
  • Good report writing skills
  • Full UK driving license
