Hunter Selection is seeking a qualified HSE & Sustainability Technician for a role in a fast-moving consumer goods environment based in Port Talbot. The role focuses on maintaining shopfloor health, safety and environmental standards while ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related guidelines.

Qualificações

• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Environmental or Sustainability qualification (ISEP/IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate)
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

Responsabilidades

• Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Management Systems to maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and BRCGS standards.
• Undertake routine workplace inspections, audits and compliance assessments to ensure personnel, equipment, buildings and practices meet legal and Company requirements.
• Assist managers with risk assessments and review existing ones.
• Conduct or assist with accident, incident, near miss and hazard investigations using Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Assist with the Sustainability Strategy and environmental management programmes.
• Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
• Assist with waste management, energy use, emissions, and environmental performance indicators.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Management Systems assisting in maintaining compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and BRCGS standards,
• Undertake routine workplace inspections, audits and compliance assessments to ensure personnel, equipment, buildings and working practices meet legal and Company requirements.
• Assist departmental managers in completing and reviewing relevant risk assessments.
• Conduct or assist with accident, incident, near miss and hazard investigations using recognised Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Assist with the implementation of the Company's Sustainability Strategy and environmental management programmes.
• Promote environmental awareness, sustainability initiatives and resource conservation throughout the organisation.
• Support waste management processes, ensuring waste segregation, recycling and hazardous waste controls comply with legal and Company requirements.
• Assist with monitoring energy consumption, emissions, water usage, effluent systems and environmental performance indicators. Support carbon reduction, waste minimisation, recycling and circular economy initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Environmental or Sustainability qualification (ISEP/IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate).
• Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits.
• Experience supporting Health, Safety and Environmental management systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Practical approach to Health & Safety with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours constructively and professionally.
• Willingness to spend significant time on the factory floor promoting a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture.
