Job description

VANRATH are assisting in the recruitment of a Health & Safety Officer for a large Construction company. The organisation has had constant growth and is very modernised, and the successful candidate would join a part-of-the-future organisation.

Office is based in Omagh - Monday to Friday - This is a Permanent position.

Salary: Negotiable & Growth Opportunities + other additional benefits from a fantastic company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, rules and regulations are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations; compile reports and ensure compliance is consistently maintained.
  • Ensure the completion and regular review of Method Statements and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all accidents and near misses are documented, investigated and the recommended improvements are implemented.
  • Ensure that employees, contractors, and site visitors receive site induction.
  • Plan and coordinate SHEQ related training for employees.
  • Maintain and update all relevant SHEQ Department administration. Assist in developing all the required documentation for the SHEQ Management System to be compliant with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The Ideal Person:

  • NEBOSH OHAS Qualification Certificate.
  • Exposure to and understanding of implementation of ISO 45001 or 18001 and ISO 14001 and 9001.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar Health and Safety role.
