Job summary

Active Staff is assisting a prestigious client in recruiting an experienced HSE Officer to join the Quality team at two Andover production sites. You will develop and maintain the HSE management system, ensure ISO compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires NEBOSH certification, ISO lead auditor experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. Travel between sites is required; benefits include onsite parking and a bi-annual bonus.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
• Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 50001 (desirable).
• Degree or Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable).
• Knowledge of Energy Management Systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards.
• Plan, conduct and report on internal HSE audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Carry out risk assessments, investigations, workplace inspections and environmental monitoring.
• Support the HSE Committee and promote a positive behavioural safety culture.
• Deliver HSE training and provide guidance to employees across the business.
• Manage customer compliance requests and support external audits.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste and energy reporting.
• Work collaboratively with managers and departments to drive continuous improvement.
• Travel between two Andover production sites as required.

This role is suitable for someone with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment who is passionate about continuous improvement, compliance, and employee engagement.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm; Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm.
