VANRATH is assisting in the recruitment of a SHEQ Manager for a large Engineering organization. The organization has experienced constant growth, and the successful candidate will join a reputable company.

Office is based in Limavady or Cookstown - Monday to Friday - Permanent role

Key Responsibilities:

The SHEQ Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality systems across the organization. This role ensures regulatory compliance, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality across multiple project sites, oversees risk management, and supports project delivery teams with SHEQ-related issues.

SHEQ Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and lead the SHEQ strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Promote SHEQ awareness and compliance across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead and manage SHEQ audits, inspections, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).

Health & Safety

  • Oversee all office, workshop, and site safety operations, ensuring compliance with legal and company safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead accident and incident investigations and produce detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Ensure site safety documentation (RAMS, permits, toolbox talks) is up to date and communicated.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Health & Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
