Job summary

Saab UK is recruiting an experienced HSE professional to lead health, safety and environmental management for the Seaeye underwater robotics business unit in Fareham. The role reports to the Head of Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental and operates across manufacturing and field activities.

You will develop and maintain HSE systems, ensure compliance with UK legislation and Saab Group standards, lead audits, training and continuous improvement, and drive a positive safety culture through

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.
• HSE qualification such as NEBOSH is required.
• Environmental qualification such as IEMA is desirable.
• Experience with external accreditation bodies are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve HSE management systems, policies, standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, regulations, industry standards and customer requirements.
• Lead delivery of the HSE strategy, monitor performance, analyse trends and drive improvements.
• Lead internal audits, inspections and compliance verification activities.
• Provide expert HSE advice and support to managers and project teams.
• Oversee risk assessments, training, inductions and onboarding for staff and contractors.
