Job summary

Octagon Group in Whitstable seeks an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead strategic and operational HSE across the site, driving a proactive safety culture and regulatory compliance.

You will report to the Maintenance and Automation Manager, shape the HSE strategy, and influence decisions at all levels to create a safer, more sustainable working environment for everyone on site.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
• Proven experience in HSE management within manufacturing or similar environments.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture across the site.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory health, safety, environmental and workplace welfare legislation.
• Maintain ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 certifications and ensure systems stay effective and compliant.
• Develop and monitor HSE targets, objectives and improvement programmes to enhance performance and reduce environmental impact.
• Provide expert guidance and support to leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Chair and lead the Health & Safety Committee to promote best practice and employee engagement.

NEW HSE MANAGER JOB IN WHITSTABLE

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of HSE across a environment.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Automation Manager, you will play a key role in developing a proactive health, safety and environmental culture, making sure the business stays compliant with regulations and keeps improving.
