Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Are you a seasoned EHS professional ready to lead a site–wide safety and environmental strategy in a high–performance manufacturing environment? We re seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join a growing team in Hayes. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive cultural and operational change, implement best–in–class systems, and ensure compliance across a dynamic engineering and production site.

Key Responsibilities for the Environment, Health and Safety Manager:
  • Lead and develop the site s EHS Management System in compliance with UK regulations, corporate policy, and industry best practices

  • Ensure employee, contractor, and visitor compliance through effective training and communication strategies

  • Work closely with site leadership to promote a strong, proactive EHS culture and continuous improvement

  • Drive EHS performance through robust inspection, audit, and incident investigation programs

  • Oversee emergency planning, site security processes, and regulatory compliance reporting

  • Develop, implement, and track EHS–related KPIs, metrics, and corrective actions

  • Lead behavioural–based safety initiatives and engage employees at all levels through coaching, recognition, and safety campaigns

  • Maintain certifications (e.g., ISO14001, ISO45001), lead audits, and support renewals

  • Manage the injury reduction program and lead effective return–to–work processes

  • Evaluate and manage workplace hazards including PPE, ergonomics, confined space, fall protection, machine guarding, and chemical exposure

  • Deliver and tailor training programs for supervisors and team members on EHS responsibilities and hazard mitigation

What We're Looking For:
  • Ideally 10 years experience in an EHS management role, ideally in manufacturing or engineering environments

  • Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance practices

  • Bachelor s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related technical field (preferred)

  • Practical experience with safety programs

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS systems and managing audits

  • Hands–on, detail–oriented, and proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

  • Experience with ISO14001 and ISO45001 is highly desirable
