About The Role

As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, CBRE and client policies.

About The Role

As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, CBRE and client policies. This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Track operational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
  • Lead the EHS team in the support of day-to-day operations and management of health, safety and environment tasks, initiatives and client expectations.
  • Oversee the PTW process integrating procedures and requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Identify and manage site -specific EHS training relevant to the account and specified competency verifications are maintained.
  • Effective management, monitoring and reporting of HSE metrics.
  • Analyze HSE data to identify trends and benchmark performance.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports. Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk.
  • Conduct timely investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuously assess risks to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with HSE standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Responsible for managing a team with direct reports.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of certifications, experience and education will be considered.
  • Additional certifications as required by the local authority.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
  • Experience in implementing PTW permit to work processes and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset
