Overview

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager. Location: South Yorkshire. Salary: Up to £55,000 + Excellent Benefits.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join a growing manufacturing business in South Yorkshire. This is a key leadership role, responsible for developing, implementing, and driving a strong HSE culture across the site while ensuring full compliance with legislation and best practice. You\'ll play a vital part in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing and fulfilment operation, building effective systems, leading audits, and embedding safety-first behaviours at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a robust HSE management system in line with legislation and business requirements, embedding a positive safety and environmental culture across the site. Establish and manage policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance; investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses to drive preventative action and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the main contact for the HSE Executive and Environmental Agency; deliver and oversee risk assessments and safe systems of work; provide reporting and KPI tracking to the leadership team.
  • Lead internal and external audits to maintain and enhance standards; work closely with training teams to deliver compliance training across the business.
Qualifications
  • At least three years\' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH certificate or Diploma.
  • Expert knowledge of HSE best practice and current legislation.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; proven experience in managing audits, compliance processes and risk assessments.
  • Results-driven, organized, and comfortable influencing at all levels of the business.
