Job summary

Cummins Inc. is offering a Placement Student opportunity in Health, Safety & Environment within the Logistics Centre at Daventry, UK. The placement targets Summer 2027 start for a 12-month cooperative program, working on site with flexible arrangements.

You will support daily HSE activities, assist with investigations, records management and performance metrics, and participate in improvement projects across operations. Strong IT skills and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business management or Health, Safety and Environmental related field
• Ability to understand data, solve problems and think innovatively
• Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage workload effectively and work well as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE team with day-to-day implementation and maintenance of site HSE management systems
• Assist with incident investigations, hazard tracking and maintenance of HSE records
• Support monitoring and closure of HSE actions from incidents, audits and inspections
• Participate in HSE improvement projects and training material development
• Collaborate with operations, facilities and engineering to support HSE objectives
• Engage with employees to promote a positive safety culture and support contractor safety activities
