Job summary

This newly created Health, Safety and Environmental managerial role is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring HSE systems across UK sites, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards while promoting a positive safety culture. You will work with the Leadership Team, in particular with QA Manager and Head of Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE role within manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
• Experience leading audits and corrective actions.
• NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and industry best practice.
• Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver and coordinate H&S training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across workshops and offices.
• Manage environmental compliance and best practices for metal fabrication operations.
• Identify and reduce environmental risks, waste, and energy usage.
• Support environmental reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Advise senior management on Health & Safety risks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present H&S KPIs and management review data.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in relation to safety and operational efficiency.
