Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer for a 12-month contract based in the UK. The role requires experience in oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects, focusing on HSE compliance and project safety deliverables. This position offers hybrid working flexibility, allowing for up to 12 remote days per month. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and permitting.
  • Background in oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects preferred.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Produce project safety deliverables (HSE Plans, Philosophies, ToRs, SoWs).
  • Organise and attend ENVID, SIMOPS, HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL workshops.
  • Advise on HSE compliance under UK regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and specialist contractors.
  • Support procurement activities (tender clarifications, bid evaluations).
  • Act as Project Discipline Lead where required.
