Job Description

Manufacturing Futures is working with a respected and close-knit manufacturing business known for its strong team culture and long-standing commitment to employee wellbeing. They’re now looking to appoint a Health and Safety Coordinator to champion a proactive safety-first culture across their busy production site.

This is a varied and influential role where you won’t just be ticking boxes—you’ll be out on the shop floor, engaging with teams, identifying risks, implementing real change, and helping to embed health and safety into the company.

Responsibilities:
  1. Take the lead on health and safety practices, from factory floor to boardroom.
  2. Carry out site-wide audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
  3. Design, develop, and roll out practical health & safety policies that work in real-life environments—not just in handbooks.
  4. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams to build engagement and accountability.
  5. Lead investigations, provide training, and offer day-to-day support on all HSE matters.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (or working towards it).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment—you understand the risks and how to manage them.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach and the confidence to lead by example.
  • Strong communication skills – you can influence, engage, and motivate people at all levels.
  • Solid audit and reporting skills, with good IT proficiency (MS Office, report writing, etc.).
