MCC Label is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support the QHSE Manager. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct training sessions, and manage safety audits. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with an emphasis on practical experience in HSE, ideally within FMCG environments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in health and safety roles, preferably in FMCG.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the QHSE Manager in maintaining all accreditations: ISO9001, 14001, 45001 & BRC.
  2. Provide guidance and advice to managers, supervisors, and employees on all issues pertaining to health & safety.
  3. Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements and company policies.
  4. Assist teams in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing controls to manage and reduce risks.
  5. Establish safe operational procedures considering all relevant hazards.
  6. Record, report, and investigate incidents and near misses.
  7. Provide HSE training sessions and educate the workforce on safety expectations and lessons learned from previous incidents.
  8. Perform safety audits and inspections to measure safety culture and compliance.
  9. Ensure waste segregation and measure environmental parameters.
  10. Manage contractors and consultants in all aspects of health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or other relevant HSE certifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG environments.

Other considerations:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Risk assessment, problem solving, teamwork, conflict resolution, and adaptability.
