Job Description

The HSE Coach provides hands-on coaching to rig crew by participating in various operational activities. They play a crucial role in maintaining employee safety and health while ensuring the company upholds the highest environmental standards. Responsibilities include observing personnel practices, monitoring compliance with safety rules and policies through coaching and feedback, and promoting risk minimization mechanisms such as PTW and STOP & SWA. The coach conducts regular safety tours, verifies understanding and application of policies, and participates in safety meetings and performance evaluations. They assist in reviewing emergency response systems, conducting rig audits, and verifying asset integrity. The role involves participating in rig move operations, updating HSE alerts, liaising with client safety representatives, and providing safety training to rig staff. The coach contributes to cost-efficient resource usage and ensures adherence to QHSE procedures to deliver safe, secure, and environmentally responsible services.

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

• BS Degree in health and safety or relevant field
• Certifications including accredited assessment and verification qualifications, safety accreditation from Occupational Safety and Health Profession, and any other beneficial professional qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in rig operations
• Strong understanding of HSE principles, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate others
• Problem-solving skills for addressing safety concerns
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Operational background at DRL/ARS/RS level
