The HSE and Assurance Manager manages teams in technical, strategic, and administrative activities of the HSE function, ensuring regulatory HSE compliance, development of HSE systems, processes, and programmes, enabling operational excellence and safeguarding employees and communities.

Important Information
  • Full UK Drivers Licence needed
  • Business Needs Vehicle provided
  • Field based role/ frequent national travel required/ occasional international travel
  • Must be able to interview in person in London or Birmingham BT office
What you'll be doing
  • Manage teams implementing global HSE policies, aligning with the wider global strategy.
  • Maintain and implement local operating procedures meeting HSE standards and local laws.
  • Contribute to HSE continuous improvement and compliance programmes.
  • Develop management information reports for global Risk, Business Assurance, and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure stakeholders adhere to legal HSE requirements and establish assurance programmes.
  • Promote partnerships within the function and with external stakeholders to uphold high HSE standards.
  • Coordinate relationships with third parties, including enforcement agencies and audit bodies.
  • Profile risks across locations and drive compliance monitoring.
  • Share knowledge on emerging HSE trends and developments.
  • Coach and develop team capabilities through upskilling and recruitment.
  • Conduct impartial Multi ISO Audits and produce reports with corrective actions.
  • Improve working processes within HSE.
