Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for a site-based role in North Wales. You will report to the Project HSE manager and help develop, manage and improve the safety management system across EPIC Projects within the Liverpool Bay Decommissioning & CCS program.

The role requires 3–7 years in Oil & Gas, Nebosh diploma, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and a willingness to work Monday–Friday onsite with Saturday mornings when required.

Qualifications

• Qualification in HSE or engineering field, plus Nebosh diploma.
• 3–7 years in Oil & Gas onshore projects, with construction/regulation/investigations.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level
• Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)
• Support implementation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Plan and conduct internal HSE audits
• Coordinate and prepare HSE files and other deliverables following CDM regulations
• Lead accident / incident investigation
• Complete supplier HSE evaluations, readiness reviews and review supplier HSE documents to ensure they meet the Project requirements
• Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer
• Records, coordinates and monitors HSE Performance and KPI's

Job Title: HSE Advisor

Location: Talacre, North Wales

Contract: Initially 12 Months (extendable up to 3 years)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Requirements: Monday – Friday onsite and Saturday mornings when required, 10 hour working days

Purpose of the position: As HSE Advisor you will report to the Project HSE manager. You will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety management system throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage).

Responsibilities

• Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level
• Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)

What are we looking for?

Education: Qualification in HSE or engineering related field, Nebosh diploma

Experience: 3-7 years in the Oil&Gas industry and onshore projects with activities in construction design regulation management and survey/investigation

Certification: ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
