The Role: As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging and informative lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, covering a range of topics such as human development, health and wellbeing, social care values, and care in different settings.
Create a dynamic and interactive learning environment where students can develop their critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills within the context of health and social care.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, role-playing, and guest speakers, to bring the subject to life and inspire students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
Contribute to the department's success by collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and organize enriching extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Health and Social Care, or a related field such as Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong understanding of the KS4 and KS5 Health and Social Care curriculum.
Experience teaching Health and Social Care in a secondary school setting.
The Ideal Candidate: Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a passion for health and social care education.
Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
