Job Description: Station Systems Rail Maintenance Technician - Night Shifts

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and work closely with technical experts. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex, critical work to keep the nation's infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

The Station Systems Level 3 Rail Maintenance Shift Engineer will work 4 on, 4 off night shifts across four sites on the HS1 rail network, including St Pancras International, Stratford International, Ebbsfleet International, and Singlewell Depot. Flexibility is essential to support 24/7 operations and undertake additional activities outside normal shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on SISS and Telecommunications systems to ensure effective asset restoration within SLAs.
  • Conduct daily reactive maintenance across systems like CCTV, PA, CIS, EACS, Servers, and IP Networks.
  • Carry out technical investigations and audits.
  • Execute maintenance activities, both corrective and planned, following processes and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor systems remotely to identify issues and implement fixes.

Requirements:

  • Fault-finding skills with appropriate test equipment.
  • Experience with CCTV, IP Networks, EACS, CIS, PAVA, Servers, and copper/fibre networks.
  • Proven IT skills (e.g., laptop, Office 365).
  • Experience working with SLA-driven maintenance contracts.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
