Job summary

Kier Group plc. is recruiting a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor for the Sizewell C New Nuclear Build contract in Suffolk. You will oversee HS&W matters, support managers, develop risk assessments, and ensure client expectations are met on a complex project.

You will conduct inspections, produce HS&W documentation, and investigate incidents to drive a safer workplace. A BPSS clearance may be required and pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold NEBOSH or an equivalent qualification and be a member of a professional institution.
• Accident/Investigation qualification such as Kelvin TOPSET or ROSPA is desirable.
• Civil engineering background with experience in a similar or supporting role.

Responsibilities

• Supporting managers in promoting health and safety policies and assisting with the development of project objectives and initiatives
• Producing high-quality health and safety documentation, reports and performance statistics
• Working collaboratively with operational teams to develop risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Conducting regular health and safety inspections and audits to maintain high standards across the site
• Ensuring accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated effectively with timely action delivery

Confident communicator

Education

NEBOSH Certificate (preferably Construction) or equivalent qualification

Professional institution membership (e.g. Tech IOSH)

Accident/Investigation Qualification (Kelvin TOPSET, ROSPA or NEBOSH HSE)
