Job Description

An integrated design and build provider working in the water sector is looking for a HRIS Specialist to join the team! Along with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, you will also receive hybrid working, a car/car allowance, 25 days holiday (bank holidays) with an additional 5 days available to buy, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, health insurance, private medical insurance plus many more!

You will be responsible for managing and optimising HR information systems, ensuring data accuracy, system compliance, and supporting HR processes. This role requires a strong understanding of HR systems, data management, reporting metrics, and HR processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing and maintaining HR systems, data and reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  2. Troubleshooting system issues and coordinating with IT team & IT Partners for resolution.
  3. Ensuring HR business processes are kept up-to-date and functioning optimally.
  4. Analysing and interpreting large data sets.
  5. Producing HR reports, metrics & dashboards to provide valuable insight and support decision-making.
  6. Leading the implementation of system enhancements across multiple HR systems (e.g. ERP, Recruitment, L&D, Fleet & Benefits) to optimise the long-term efficiency and effectiveness of HRIS reporting and processes.
  7. Collaborating with IT and HR team to implement & integrate new technologies and systems.
  8. Managing the system testing process for HR & ensuring thorough testing after any ERP system changes or updates to maintain functionality and performance.
  9. Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of HR systems, document business requirements and developing business cases to assist decision making and project proposals.
  10. Providing training and support to HR staff on system usage and best practices.
  11. Establishing & maintaining robust systems and data privacy controls and provide support during HR audits to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
  12. Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in HR systems & technologies.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an HRIS Specialist or similar role.
  3. Strong knowledge of HR processes and data management.
  4. Familiarity with HR compliance and regulatory requirements e.g. GDPR.
  5. Experience of ERP system upgrade / implementation projects.
  6. Experience of working closely with cross-functional teams.
  7. Proficiency in HRIS and ERP software (e.g., IFS, Cornerstone, Eploy, HandsHQ).
  8. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualisation tools e.g. Power BI.
