HRH Part-Time Caretaker| London, N5 1XB | Part Time - Working up to 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekends| £13.85 – (14.74 per hour for working weekends)

They are currently seeking a Part-Time Caretaker to join their Bank team. The successful candidate will be a part of the part-time evening and/or weekend caretaking and cleaning team. You will be required to manage all aspects of HRH’s caretaking needs, i.e. maintenance, security, putting out softplay equipment, tables, chairs and cleaning after or during an event, if necessary.

What will your role look like?

  • To deal with all aspects of bookings to ensure that the premises are maintained and user groups have access to all agreed-upon areas
  • Superintend the security of HRH premises, its contents and custody of the keys. You will be required to check with the Facilities/Office Administrator to ensure you have the details of all hires
  • May be required to clean areas of the building after use, when no cleaner is available, to ensure the building/space is ready for the next group
  • Oversee the work of maintenance contractors
  • Assist the Facilities Administrator in ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to. This will involve fire drills, inspections and assisting the Facilities Administrator with health & safety checks
  • Ensure areas hired for use are prepared for the activities. This may require the moving of equipment and furniture
  • To deal with general enquiries, answer the tele, service user groups, during the evening and/or weekends
  • May be required to undertake maintenance work, i.e. decorating, plastering, etc
  • Assist with fire drills as required and the testing of equipment
  • As and when required to attend and participate in staff meetings
  • To attend and assist in all HRH fundraising events as required by the director
  • Assist if required to clean the kitchen areas before or after a hire
  • Hold an up to date First Aid at Work qualification and deal with first aid incidents as required
  • Work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of HRH
  • Undertake any appropriate training as directed
  • Be prepared to undertake light repairs, i.e. changing bulbs, etc, to the building or equipment as and when required
