Job summary

Morgan Stanley's HR Employee Solutions team seeks a proactive HR Business Advisor to partner with global employee groups. You will handle employee relations, support compensation year-end processes, and coordinate health cases while delivering timely analytics to inform decisions.

You will collaborate with HR partners, Recruitment, and global colleagues to drive efficiency through new technologies and flexible working arrangements, while maintaining compliance and risk controls.

Qualifications

  • Degree educated with HR generalist or HRBP experience.
  • CIPD qualification preferred.
  • 3–4 years HR Generalist or HRBP experience.
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and manage employee relations issues across policy and legal frameworks.
  • Support year-end compensation decisions, promotion roundtables and performance processes.
  • Coordinate Occupational Health cases with risk management and outcomes for staff and managers.
  • Provide timely data analytics and reporting to support decision making.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers, Recruitment and Compensation teams on recruitment.
  • Assist with international relocations and assignments with internal partners.
  • Support monthly data audits to ensure accurate, reliable information.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and leverage HR tech to improve delivery.

The position combines client‑facing HR advisory work as well as involvement in ad-hoc project work as required. The ideal candidate will be willing to pick up a range of tasks as per the needs of both the internal client groups supported and the HR Business Partner team. Ability to demonstrate an excellent track record of working in a high volume and fast paced environment, with a strong advisory mindset. The incumbent should have a strong ability to influence stakeholders and possess highly proficient communication skills with clients and HR colleagues alike at the local, regional, and global levels.What you’ll do in the roleAdvise and manage a wide range of employee relations issues, taking into account best practice, legislative frameworks, and commercial outcomes. This includes liaising with the Employee Relations team, Employment Law, and External Counsel where necessaryPartner and assist the wider HR Business Partner team on Year-End initiatives such as compensation decisions, promotion roundtables, and performance management processesManage and advise on Occupational Health cases, ensuring consistency, appropriate risk management, and effective outcomes for employees and managersProvide timely, accurate data analytics and reporting to support decision making, identifying trends and risks where appropriate.Proactively collaborate with hiring managers, Recruitment and Compensation teams on recruitment activitiesAssist with the initiation and coordination of international relocations and assignments, working with relevant internal partnersAssist in the completion of monthly audits, in order to ensure accurate and reliable data, giving guidance, as necessaryDemonstrate agility in delivery, rapidly adapting to changing business priorities, process updates, and evolving operating modelActively leverage new and emerging HR technologies (e.g., digital tools, automation, virtual agents) to enhance service delivery, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvementBuild trust, operate with confidence, and promote the HR operating model with key divisional stakeholdersWhat you’ll bring in the role:Degree educated or equivalentCIPD qualification preferredProven background within HR either within financial services or professional services, 3 – 4 years HR Generalist or HRBP experience an advantageAn ability to manage and develop relationships within matrix management structuresA strong team player with the ability to operate independently, pro-actively and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels both within HRES and the and across the FirmStrong analytical and communication skills, with good attention to detailAbility to manage expectations, influence and persuade clients and colleaguesAbility to multi-task, to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and to adapt to changeRational and logical approach to problem-solvingStrong appreciation of employment related risks, with ability to identify and escalateWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
