Job Title: International Volunteer and Staffing Adviser
Location: Manchester/UK Wide
Job Overview:
We are working with a leading council to recruit an experienced International Volunteer and Staffing Adviser. In this role, you will provide critical advice and support to the pursuit team, designing and implementing staffing structures for our programmes. You will play a key role in ensuring that our mobilisation and implementation teams are well-resourced, strategically planned, and efficiently managed.
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing Structure Design and Support:
Advise the pursuit team on designing staffing structures for programmes, considering resourcing for all processes. Develop and agree on mobilisation staffing structures, identifying specific individuals for key roles. Create and evaluate job descriptions for mobilisation roles as required. Coordinate with relevant offices and regions to consider staffing structures in target countries.
Resourcing and Mobilisation:
Agree on resourcing timelines and support mobilisation and implementation teams with HR to ensure logistical considerations are met. Support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of the mobilisation team (approximately 5 roles in the UK). Assist in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of the programme management team (approximately 20-25 roles across 10 countries).
Volunteer and HR Advisory:
Provide advice on the HR status of volunteers, including contractual status, screening requirements, code of conduct, immigration status, and the ability to pay stipends. Potentially assist in recruiting and engaging assessors for short-term inputs to the delivery cycle.
