Interim HR Business Partner

VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a true market leader, as they seek to appoint an interim HR Business Partner to join their CIPD award winning HR team on an initial 3 month contract.
The Role
This role focuses on uncovering the specific people requirements for the business areas they support and on working with the wider HR Functional Teams to deliver on people related projects.
The HR Business Partner will collaborate closely with the HR Director to ensure people solutions are seamlessly integrated into the business area and aligned with customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Build strong business relationships to gain deep insight and influence, enabling the development and delivery of a comprehensive people plan for a defined area in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Identify, scope, and prioritise all HR requirements arising from the people plan, ensuring clear alignment with business needs
- Monitor progress regularly, provide updates to stakeholders, and ensure successful execution of the people plan.
- Maintain close alignment with key bids and critical programmes, offering strategic HR support to enhance bid and project delivery. Understand the human factors involved and apply a commercial mindset to anticipate and mitigate people-related risks.
- Support long-term workforce planning by identifying and delivering the right capabilities and resources to meet future business goals-balancing workforce size, structure, and cost.
- Collaborate with Operations to develop a robust people supply plan, partnering with Talent Acquisition and other functions to ensure the business has the right talent, in the right roles, at the right time.
- Partner with and challenge senior leaders to shape organisational design improvements aligned with strategic goals. Ensure organisational structures, capabilities, and culture support business growth and performance.
- Define and track key organisational health metrics to guide people and change-related decisions.
- Coach and provide constructive feedback to leaders, enhancing their effectiveness and driving overall business performance.
- Operate with a consultative mindset-partnering closely with internal stakeholders, leveraging the broader HR team, and incorporating external best practices to design sustainable people solutions that drive success.
The Person
Education/Professional:
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Associate CIPD / Equivalent experience (Chartered MCIPD desirable)
Experience:
- A strong track record in HR Business Partnering, with demonstrated success in resolving complex HR issues-preferably within a matrixed organisational structure.
- Skilled in engaging and influencing key stakeholders to drive improvements in both people and organisational performance.
- Experienced in partnering with senior leaders to align people strategies with organisational growth objectives.
- Extensive background in supporting high-value bids and critical programmes, delivering targeted people and organisational solutions that enhance business outcomes.
- Proven capability in guiding and enabling senior managers through change and transformation initiatives, looking beyond structural changes to address overall organisational effectiveness.
- Adept at investigating complex issues, identifying root causes through the effective use of data, insights, and a range of HR tools and methodologies.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with the ability to anticipate challenges across different stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate and address multifaceted business situations.
