The HR Technical Project Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of human resources processes within the organization. This senior individual contributor position involves a combination of solution design, process management, and HR cross-functional support.
How You’ll Contribute:
The HR Technical Project Specialist collaborates with various internal stakeholders to implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems with an emphasis on governance and compliance. A heavy focus will be on supporting and improving the HR Shared Service framework by automating forms, documents, processes, and systems to increase efficiency and improve employee experience.
What You’ll Do:
- HR Service Innovation: Design and implement solutions which assist in delivering high-quality HR services to associates, managers, and HR business partners.
- AI Innovation & Implementation: Serve as the primary AI liaison for the HR organization, continuously identifying and evaluating opportunities to leverage Microsoft Copilot Studio and other AI technologies to innovate and streamline HR processes and procedures.
- Project & Process Management: Lead multiple small- to medium-sized process-improvement initiatives and HR projects across the People function, delivering on time and in scope.
- HR Services Documentation: Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain all HR policies and procedures on company SharePoint site.
- Process Improvement and Standardization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization within HR shared service delivery.
- HR Data and Analytics: Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improving HR delivery and programs.
- Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring: Maintain a compliance calendar; track federal/state/local changes; translate requirements into SOPs/checklists; and coordinate with Legal on impact assessments.
- Audit & Controls: Prepare for and support internal/external audits.
- Data Privacy & Record Retention: Enforce role-based access, data quality, and retention schedules within HRIS/SharePoint.
- Compliance Reporting: Coordinate required filings and submissions.
- Compliance Training & Enablement: Draft communications and deliver micro-trainings on policy updates and compliance procedures.
- Vendor/Third-Party Compliance: Validate that HR vendors handling associate data meet contractual and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
- Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ HR Operations experience, including change and project management, is required.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), recruitment tools, SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills required.
- Experience managing and reporting data within a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws, regulations, and compliance standards and demonstrated experience with policy governance, audit readiness, and records retention requirements.
- Experience coordinating compliance reporting and supporting I-9/E-Verify processes.
- Innovative mind-set with knowledge and an interest and understanding in machine learning.
- Ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with internal teams, external partners, candidates, associates and managers.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Working knowledge of data privacy principles and role-based access controls within HRIS/SharePoint.
