Job summary

Financial Conduct Authority is seeking an HR Systems Associate to support Workday administration and HR technologies within the HR Analytics & Systems team. You will help maintain data quality, support HR processes, and contribute to system improvements while developing Workday skills through configuration, testing and data loads.

You will work with HR, Payroll, IT and other stakeholders to ensure a positive user experience and efficient HR operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience with core HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Hands-on Workday or similar HR system experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with data loads and integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day admin and user support for Workday and HR systems.
  • Investigate and resolve system issues to ensure smooth HR processes.
  • Assist with Workday configurations, testing, and data management.
  • Support data quality, governance, audits and reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT and payroll teams to meet stakeholder needs.

  • Working as part of the HR Analytics & Systems team, this role provides day-to-day support for Workday and associated HR technologies
  • You will help ensure the smooth operation of HR processes, support colleagues across HR and the wider organisation, investigate system issues, maintain data quality and contribute to system improvements
  • You will also have the opportunity to develop your Workday skills through hands‑on involvement in configuration activities, testing, data management and integrations support, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) data loads
  • This role is ideal for someone with some experience of HR systems who enjoys problem‑solving, working with data and delivering a positive user experience
  • Provide day-to-day administration and user support for Workday and other HR systems, investigating queries, resolving issues and supporting the smooth delivery of HR processes
  • Support core HR processes within Workday, ensuring transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Carry out routine system administration and maintenance activities, including updates to reference data, notifications, system settings, approved configuration changes and maintenance of system documentation and guidance materials
  • Support data quality and governance activities through audits, validation checks, reporting, data corrections and ongoing monitoring
  • Prepare, validate and process Workday EIB data loads, and support integrations and data transfer activities by monitoring interfaces, investigating errors and working with colleagues and suppliers to resolve issues
  • Support Workday releases, enhancements and projects through testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation updates and post‑release activities
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT and wider stakeholders to understand requirements, support effective business processes and deliver a positive user experience
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality, data quality, user experience and operational processes

This role is graded as: Corporate, L8 – AssociateDemonstrable experience of working with core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, using HR systems to support effective process controls and maintain accurate employee data undefinedProven experience using, supporting or administering Workday or another HR system in an operational environmentSolid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, investigate and resolve system and data issues in a structured mannerEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and build effective relationships across teamsExperience working with HR data, including data validation, data quality management, reporting, audits, updates and governance activitiesExperience preparing, validating or processing data loads, EIBs, integrations or related data transfer processes within Workday or similar systemsExperience with HR system administration, maintenance, testing and configuration activities, including updates to reference data, notifications, business processes or other system settingsSC Clearance is required for this role (SC Guidance) - you will hold or will be required to obtain Security Check (SC) level vettingWell‑organised and self‑motivated, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads, manage multiple tasks and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindsetExperience supporting HR system users, providing guidance on system processes and transactions and delivering a positive user experience
