Venn Group is delighted to be partnered with a government organisation to recruit a HR Systems Analyst on a 6 month fixed-term contract. The role supports the newly implemented iTrent HR and Payroll system, focusing on system development, troubleshooting, reporting, and optimisation.

Please note a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) will be required to commence this position.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead on troubleshooting iTrent system issues and responding to customer enquiries, ensuring all actions and outcomes are documented in line with agreed incident management procedures
  • Develop reports using a range of data extraction and report-writing tools to support HR and business operations
  • Provide ongoing support for key system interfaces within the iTrent environment, ensuring reliable and effective integration
  • Oversee the secure and accurate transfer of data within and between HR systems
  • Identify and resolve system-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to service
  • Implement new changes or enhancements to the iTrent system in line with evolving business requirements
  • Conduct and coordinate testing for new functionality, upgrades, or system configurations
  • Support the successful embedding and user adoption of the iTrent system across the organisation through training and documentation

Ideal candidate profile:

  • In-depth knowledge of HR systems (especially iTrent), with the ability to provide strategic and technical guidance on system use and optimisation
  • Strong skills in system configuration, advanced Excel, database administration, and data analysis, particularly within Payroll and Core HR modules
  • Proven ability to analyse complex data and technical issues, offering clear solutions using structured logic and process
  • Experience in balancing competing support and project demands while collaborating across teams to deliver results
  • Acts as a positive role model who demonstrates attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Duration: 6 month fixed-term contract, subject to further extension

Salary: £41,000 - £48,000 per annum (pro rata)

Working hours: Full time

Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site)
