This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.

This is a fixed-term post for 21 months.

Are you looking for an opportunity to support and influence the great work carried out by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, whilst also starting an enjoyable and rewarding career? No HR experience? No problem.

We're seeking motivated, caring, and resilient individuals with a genuine interest in engaging with people and making a positive impact.

You will use your strong organisational skills to provide effective administrative support to our Workforce Service.

Using your excellent written and verbal communication skills, you'll provide routine advice on a wide range of interesting and challenging workplace issues in a busy but supportive environment, which will help to accelerate your professional growth.

You will work in a supportive and friendly environment under the supervision of our Organisational & Talent teams.

We will provide learning and development opportunities to help you build your knowledge as you work towards the CIPD Level 3 HR Apprenticeship Standard.

This role provides a solid foundation for various career opportunities, and you could become one of our future workforce colleagues!

About you
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent (9-4 or A-C grades).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and the ability to input data.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
