HR Specialist I - Hebron, OH

As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Interviewing and training employees
  • Addressing complaints and resolving issues
  • Assisting in policy and procedure development
  • Processing, verifying, and maintaining documentation related to staffing, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
The Role:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing daily HR functions for team members
  • Explaining company policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Assisting with onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Recording employee data, including hire dates, absences, counseling, and terminations
  • Handling administrative tasks such as payroll processing and using Kronos and HR Service Center
  • Assisting with recruitment, interviews, and employee selection
  • Completing required paperwork and reports diligently
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving strategies
  • Communicating policy updates to the team
  • Conducting new employee orientations
  • Coordinating training on compliance, ethics, safety, etc.
  • Responding to policy and program inquiries
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding employee disclosures
Your Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 2-4 years of HR experience
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of HR operations and activities
