HR Specialist (Fixed-term)

DSV is recruiting for an HR Specialist in the Northamptonshire area. This role reports to a Senior HR Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Be the first point of contact for Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers on employee relations and performance issues.
2. Support the HR team and Senior HR Managers in implementing programs to enhance the employee experience.
3. Identify opportunities to improve policies and procedures.
4. Assist in training and development of managers on HR topics such as inductions, disciplinaries, and investigations.
5. Support Senior Managers with ad-hoc priorities.
6. Handle administrative tasks such as disciplinary invites, outcomes, absence reviews, terminations, severance letters, and TUPE processes.

Skills and Competencies:

• Previous experience in a HR Admin or HR Advisor role.
• Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
• Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage workload effectively.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
