Job Purpose

The HR Shared Services Manager is responsible for delivering a first-class people service for our colleagues through the leadership of the Shared Services teams, with a focus on administration and data and MI.

You will play a vital role in managing the HR "engine room", ensuring all transactional interactions with the department are optimised, efficient and successful whether that be onboarding new starters, managing movers, supporting visa sponsorship processes, creating value-enhancing data dashboards, and looking after our HR systems.

You will manage 3 newly established Team Leader roles across 3 key teams - HR Administration, Training Administration and Data, Systems and Insights.

The role is available on a Fixed Term Contract basis whilst our current Administration Manager and Data, Systems and Insights Manager are seconded onto a critical project within the HR function for circa 20 months.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Leads the day-to-day HR Shared Service operation ensuring the HR Shared Services team maintain high levels of internal customer service, keeping our colleagues at the centreof the delivery.

  • Ensures all services are delivered in line with agreed policies, procedures and within our internal service level agreements.
  • Promptly investigates escalated shared services cases to bring to fast resolution.
  • Evidences performance of the team and service through defined metrics and proactively identifies and implements opportunities to continuously improve the colleague experience and efficiency of HR Shared Services.
  • Delivery of HR Shared Services administration in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Support the delivery across a wide range of HR related processes, including training
  • Provide HR data analysis and full MI service across the business
  • Develop and lead a motivated and knowledgeable team, to achieve continuous improvements.
  • Support the team through a significant period of change both for them and the wider business
  • Development and roll out of new systems, processes and ways of working
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience of managing a HR Shared Services team or HR related administration/ advice and guidance.
  • Understanding of HR related systems and policies and processes
  • Experience of managing performance
  • Change management to support both the team and wider business

  • Experience of successfully managing high volume processes.
