Overview

Downe House is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18, based in Cold Ash, Berkshire. Our aim is to provide pupils with a wealth of academic, pastoral and Co-Curricular opportunities to allow them to grow into confident young women.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the School’s end-to-end recruitment processes. Responsibilities will include creating high quality job adverts and role profiles; utilising appropriate social media channels to advertise, search and directly source potential candidates; co-ordinate and participate in selection procedures; and maintain a high-quality administrative function that drives the candidate experience. Working closely with a small HR team and hiring managers of academic, pastoral and operational roles, you will deliver a seamless recruitment service and provide advice regarding best practice and recruitment related employment law, presenting practical solutions and options in relation to hiring needs.

Responsibilities

Other Duties
  • Preparing Offer Letters and Contracts of Employment
  • Carrying out vetting checks on new staff and recording details on the SCR
  • Maintaining the HRIS
