An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled HR Projects Consultant to join a leading organisation in Manchester City Centre on a six-month temporary contract. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for Compensation and Benefits, who thrives on delivering impactful projects within a collaborative and inclusive environment. You will play a pivotal part in establishing benefits programmes and supporting technology for a new European office, while also contributing to broader regional HR initiatives. The position offers the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with local regulations. With a competitive daily rate of £458 and the flexibility of a hybrid working model, this is an outstanding opportunity to make your mark in a supportive and values-driven workplace.
What you'll do:
As an HR Projects Consultant based in Manchester City Centre, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the organisation's European operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing robust project plans that foster effective collaboration among key stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Global Reward teams, IT specialists, Finance professionals, and business leaders. You will be responsible for creating clear communication materials that distil complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership across various regions. A significant aspect of your role will be leading process automation efforts-identifying areas where manual tasks can be streamlined through advanced HR systems. You will also act as the primary point of contact for vendor management throughout their entire lifecycle-from initial selection through ongoing relationship management-ensuring all third-party engagements meet compliance standards. In addition to these core duties, you will support broader regional HR projects by owning their delivery from inception to completion.
What you bring:
To excel as an HR Projects Consultant in this setting, your background should reflect substantial experience working within Compensation & Benefits functions-ideally gained in multinational or pan-European environments where regulatory complexity is common. Your technical acumen should include advanced skills in both PowerPoint (for impactful presentations) and Excel (for sophisticated data manipulation), enabling you to communicate findings clearly at all levels. Experience managing large-scale projects within global matrix structures will allow you to navigate organisational intricacies smoothly; prior involvement in office launches or expansions would further enhance your ability to anticipate unique challenges associated with new market entries. Your interpersonal strengths must include exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities-balancing priorities across independent teams-and polished communication skills suited for both virtual and face-to-face interactions with senior leadership. Familiarity with modern HR systems such as Benifex or Workday will enable you to drive process improvements efficiently.
