We're collaborating with a local authority in the Greater London area, searching for an experienced HR Project Officer to provide crucial support to their Housing Transformation Service.

***The ideal candidate will support workforce design and development across Housing linked to transformation work***

Contract: Initially 3-6 months, with potential for a permanent role.

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week.

Location: SE1. (The role could offer hybrid working)

Pay Rate: Starting from £20 - £25 per hour (Negotiable based on experience).

About The Role:

  1. Work consistently at an operational level with the transformation team, senior managers, key stakeholders, and HR colleagues to undertake workforce planning and develop people solutions aligned with the needs of the Asset Management’s Transformation teams and the Council, using a proactive HR business partnering approach.
  2. Support, guide, and develop line managers, senior managers, and HR colleagues to successfully deliver HR change initiatives and meet business objectives in line with transformation plans.
  3. Lead the delivery of HR Business Partner (HRBP) plans, ensuring they align with directorate transformation objectives and contribute to the Council’s delivery plan.
  4. Provide expertise, advice, guidance, and solutions on people practices to improve employee retention, management confidence, policy application, and data-driven decision-making.
  5. Contribute to the development of the HRBP service, fostering professional growth, teamwork, performance, and accountability through learning, coaching, and challenge.
  6. Design solutions for workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational change to meet current and future business needs, aligned with transformation priorities and the Council’s workforce strategy.

Experience Needed:

  1. Experience in Local Authority / Public Sector HR.
  2. Support experience in HR Business Partnering.
  3. Experience in Housing Transformation projects.
