Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a HR Program Manager to join our Human Resources team where you'll support us with one of the most important HR transformations in our company’s history — and we’re looking for a bold, strategic, and hands-on leader to help us shape it from the ground up. As we prepare to scale our people systems and practices globally, we are launching a multi-year transformation program anchored in an Integrated Talent Model (ITM). This role offers a rare opportunity to be the first hire into the program — laying its foundation, shaping its governance, and personally delivering the earliest and most critical workstreams. If you're excited by the challenge of leading both delivery and design, building a team around you, and setting a new global standard for how Ontic attracts, enables, and retains top talent, this is your moment. This role will be based at our Staverton site but is fully remote with some travel required. It is a fixed-term position for 18 months with potential extension. It reports to the Global Director of Talent Acquisition.

The Role

ITM Program Management

  • Stand up program-level governance, steering cadence, and cross-pillar delivery rhythm
  • Build and maintain the master transformation roadmap covering 4 project pillars and 36 core elements
  • Act as the central link between HR leadership, business sponsors, and workstream owners
  • Prepare and present executive reporting packs and decision-making materials for the ITM Steering Committee
  • Track program-level KPIs, interdependencies, risks, and value realization
  • Future Team Building
  • Design the ITM project delivery org structure and define role profiles for incoming team members
  • Lead hiring and onboarding of four project managers (one per pillar) and relevant project specialists
  • Build a high-performance team culture with a shared delivery cadence and operating model

Talent Foundations Delivery

  • Lead project delivery of all core components under Pillar 1: job architecture and leveling, skills and competency frameworks, org design, and rewards strategy
  • Manage detailed project planning, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate closely with HR SMEs, sponsors, and partner teams to drive alignment and implementation
  • Produce robust project documentation: RAID logs, risk registers, change plans, stakeholder comms

About You

To be successful in this role you'll need to have a proven track record in leading complex, multi-year HR or people transformation programs. Deep experience in managing foundational HR projects is required: job architecture, competency models, total rewards, organizational design. You’ll need to demonstrate strong program and portfolio management skills across multi-workstream initiatives, ideally in a global/matrixed environment. We are looking for someone that has experience engaging executive sponsors, cross-functional stakeholders, and change partners across regions. Proficiency in building and using project management tooling (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) is a must. You must have demonstrated success in operating independently to deliver outcomes while establishing structure from the ground up.
